MORE FROM HOUSTON! Specifically, stuff related to NASA and SPAAAACE.
Hello all. Here are some more pictures from the great Houston Adventure. These pictures are, as the title says, related to NASA and areas nearby. Enjoy!
Just a view of Houston on our way back from NASA (The Johnson Space Center).
This was in our freaking hotel. I just couldn’t shake the feeling Necromorphs were on their way.
Each of these were impacted by things smaller than a pea. In space. Hard. Look at that one on the far left. Struck by an object less than .5 in wide.
Just a floating scale model of the ISS floating over our heads.
Now I’m not 100% on this one being a mock-up or an actual module. I don’t remember any modules being brought back from the ISS, but this was in the area with objects that had actually returned from orbit, soooo…
The. Actual. Freaking. Lunar. Rover. From. Apollo. 11. Holy. Monkeys.
The new, updated Mission Control of NASA. Not currently in use as it doesn’t need to be. On the right, unfortunately out of frame, is a monitor showing the backup Mission Control, where everything can be shifted if need be. Currently very low-staffed, as their only responsibility is with the ISS, which you can see it’s location and various stats on the display in the back.
Samples of metals brought back from the Moon itself.
Rocks of lunar origin.
That robot what with the space travel. :D
It’s the shuttle for the shuttle. (Inception Sound)
SPAAAAAAACE
SPAAAACE COOOOOW (Johnson was built on a cattle ranch)
This photo has its own explanation. Clever girl.
It’s… A Space Suit. From space. With space in it.
The cockpit of an actual space shuttle. Nifty. :D
Section from the Saturn-V rocket. Is big. So big. SO BIG.
Saturn-V engines. To get an idea of how big each of those are, everyone in the picture could have fit in just one of them comfortably.
Just another pic to give you the scale of the Saturn-V Rocket.
THE FREAKING SHUTTLE FROM STAR TREK OH GOD YES.
CERTIFICATION FOUND. :D
I hope you all enjoyed these photos, and I’ll have more to put up in the near future. They will be of the Battleship Texas. In the meantime, do keep an eye on Houston everyone. We got out just in time to avoid the flooding, but it’s gotten pretty bad. Well wishes and good luck to everyone out there.
