So tired of this.
Welp… today was an interesting day enough for me to say “fuck the working world of what I call slaveway.” Since I work behind a window, I don’t smell what the customers are wearing or if they have acholale in there breath, although if they’re somking I could smell that. Plus, since we get a lot of customers, we don’t really check for ID when people are having problems with there cards out on the pumps and so they decided to pay inside, same goes when they use their credit card when buying, say, cirgertets (unless they look under 30 in which case that’s when we check the ID but for age, not for name or anything (sometimes I’ll look at the name if I really don’t trust the person who’s buying cirgertets)). Anyways, today, not even a half hour into my shift, I sold 2 gift cards to a customer, one for $100, another for $50, he used a credit card, had him sign, and sent him on his way. About an hour or so later, a cop came by and talked to my manager, asked me a few questions but didn’t really had time to think because my manager didn’t take over the till, I was still working the till and out of no where millions and millions of customers decided to come to the window. But found out that the guy who bought the two gift cards used a stolen credit card. It seemed he went into the store and tried using it but the clerk said that he acted kind of funny so s/he acked for some ID, the guy was like “I forgot it in my car, let me go get it real fast” and instead came over here and get the gift cards. No money was spent with the cards tho, so the booth people was able to put the money back on the guy’s credit card. But the guy who stole the credit card is not only was cought with the card, but also with forgeray. Likely I’m not in any trouble for not asking for ID, my department manager knows well enough that we don’t have time to ask everyone for ID when paying with a credit card, espally if the pay outside is down >_>
I haven’t been getting much sleep recently, with this late hours I’m working and such (mind you, I’m working 40 hours a week tell we get new hires) and I’m just beat. What woke me up for a hour or so was poking fun of Rodger’s (one of my co-worker) descriping for “unususal charactuise of the vilicle” and such when he was filling out a thift report of some chick paying inside but took off after pumping without paying.
Why I haven’t been getting much sleep? Been staying up late hours from not being able to sleep, watching anime to pass the time.
