Goodbye Mandrakes, Hello Slackware
For those who knows me well, I love computers, I mess with them whenever I could, but these days I just don’t have the time to mess with it. For about 3 months I had Mandrakes Linux installed as a second OS on my laptop, seemed just find but I hated the fact that it pretty much forces you to pay for updates, so I broke away from Mandrakes to try Slackware, thinking “Hey, if I have to go out and look for all the files myself and compile it all myself because Mandrakes wants you to pay for there updates, might as well try a different flavor.
Anyways, I’m just siting here, trying to get things to work under Slackware (a lot harder then Mandrakes, that’s for damn sure), but getting this one program I need install to get my wireless to work is being a pain in the ass. So I’m installing simple softwares, and hopefully find awhile to get my touchpad to work and to get my sound to work.
Also, just got done watching The Shining (although I wasn’t paying much attation to it as I should) and believe me, this movie is really fuck up, good but fuck up, thusk the reason why I like it :)
Anyways, I’m out.
