Did I mention that I hate my job?
No, really, the department that I work for is on the top of the shit list. Yesterday, just a hour and half to 2 hours from closing for book keeping when the pay outside system goes down. Finially, after my 1500th customer that came to about not getting there card to work, I decided to call STSC, they told me they’re doing something and all the fucken stations in all devisons are down and didn’t know when it’ll be back up. OK, fuck you for not telling me a head of time! They were doing mantance (which was also schuleded) but failed to tell me so I could of gotten ready for it. After hanging up and taking another customers card, I went outside and put up little notes that says that the payment system for outside is out and to come to the window. Boy, I thought I’ve seen it all but damn, people still tried to use there card out on the pumps, what’s funny tho is that I place the card right in the place where the screen is; I should of placed them over the credit card slot and see what they’ll do.
Anyways. Come closing, I did my normal routen and called the booth to let them know that I’m closed, but the lady told me that she wasn’t ready yet. OOOOKKKK, I was like, so I hung up and counted my till and such, did this, did that, checked if it was done, found out that it wasn’t, signed back off and called the booth again, once again, she wasn’t ready (mind you that this was a different person, not the normal person who just sits there pressing the button). I just stayed closed, hell, I even gotten to a point where I turned off the lights. If the outside payment system was working I would of just turned back on the pumps but no, they just had to be down, on a day where some chick took her sweetass time doing the closing for me. I finally was able to re-open after 30 mins. Mind you I could normally turned back on the pumps in 12 mins after closing and open the back for cash payments in 15 mins, this was just killed me, I killed most of the time validating.
Oh, and I’m still working on that list for the customers_suck community, beware!!
