This is the LAST time I’m buying anything from Dell, there support sucks and over priced!

Submitted by on January 2, 2006 – 2:59 pm

Ok, if you remember me bitching about how I pretty much got fucked over a price of a hard drive and bitched about it and got a $100 couple from them that expairs on Feb. 1th (or, should I say, Jan. 31th at 11:59:59 pm) then I’m going to contune to bitch about it now, once again.

The day I got the coupon code I went onto there site, logged on, and entered the coupon code. The expaired date/time said Jan, 31th, 2006 at 11:59:59 pm. BUT… when I logged in today to start looking at what I could get (was thinking about upgrading the ram next week while using the coupon), I went into “My Coupons” only to find it not there anymore… neither is the order number for the coupon! So I went onto the dell support chat and here’s the convo we had:

01/02/2006 03:35:22PM Session Started with Agent (Satyender Rawat)
01/02/2006 03:35:22PM Michael Simon: “I had a coupon that doesn’t expair til Feb. 1th of this year and it isn’t showing anymore in My Coupons why?”
01/02/2006 03:35:26PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “At the end of this interaction you may be offered the opportunity to provide me with feedback. In order to do so you will need to click the “Exit” button rather than using the “X” at the top of the screen. You may rate this interaction on a scale of 1 t”
01/02/2006 03:35:27PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Thank you for contacting Dell Consumer Customer Care Chat. My name is Satyender. Please allow me 1-2 minutes to review your question.”
01/02/2006 03:35:47PM Michael Simon: “alrighty”
01/02/2006 03:36:50PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Michael, I will be more than happy to help you. To assist you better with this issue, may I know your order number?”
01/02/2006 03:37:54PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “I have not received a response in over a minute. Please respond within the next two minutes to allow me to continue our chat.”
01/02/2006 03:37:58PM Michael Simon: “the order number to what?”
01/02/2006 03:38:08PM Michael Simon: “the last order number I had was for a hard drive”
01/02/2006 03:38:26PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Order number on which the coupon was issued to you?”
01/02/2006 03:39:13PM Michael Simon: “that’s the thing, I don’t have the order number for it, it did showed for about a month but not there anymore…”
01/02/2006 03:40:18PM Michael Simon: “if it helped, the couple was given to me by one of your reps because I felt I was screwed over the price of the hard driving seeing that I could of gotten it cheaper else where”
01/02/2006 03:41:19PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Michael, with out the order number it will not be possible for me to get the information for you.”
01/02/2006 03:42:18PM Michael Simon: “so what else could we do? Nothing I supposed, huh?”
01/02/2006 03:43:06PM Michael Simon: “I could distroyed my room some more to look for a case number if I still have it in my room, that is”
01/02/2006 03:43:26PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Sure.”
01/02/2006 03:44:34PM Michael Simon: “I’ll take a quick look in some places where I could of placed it, hold up.”
01/02/2006 03:44:42PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Ok.”
01/02/2006 03:46:00PM Michael Simon: “if worst comes to worst, I probibly threw it through the sheader the one day I was cleaning my room to make room to make aragements, hold up.”
01/02/2006 03:50:02PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “As there is no response within the last four minutes I will be ending this chat session. If you need additional support, please contact us at www.support.dell.com. We will be more than happy to assist you.”
01/02/2006 03:50:07PM Agent (Satyender Rawat): “Goodbye and have a great day!!!”
01/02/2006 03:50:24PM Session Ended

as you could see he wasn’t helpful at all, he didn’t even ask if I so happen to know the date that I first talked to a rep! And while I was taking a quick look around he decided that he waited long enough and closed the session… some support.

So, now that I lost all faith in Dell, I suggest you don’t use them unless you don’t plan on doing any updates.
