Ouran High School Host Club
Now… hmm… I really have no clue how to start this off…. I mean… I think this is a funny series so far (granted that I only saw the first ep) but… I still don’t know if it’s alright for me to even be talking about it since it goes against all that I stand against for. I’m sure the review team over at Kono Sono is also thinking the same (actually, I talked to one of them on this and he said that he had to sleep on it before he could make his review). I mean… it’s not bad, I mean… err… it’s pretty funny if you could look past all the Yaoi that’s going on… … Yeah… about that… I did tried looking up info about this series first before downloading the first ep and no where that I went to said it was yaoi so I was suppressed when it was… err… yeah…
Anyways, no turning back now, I supposed, so I’ll go a head and start my review on it.
This series is pretty much about poor girl name Haruhi going to a rich school (Wait! How the hell did she got in if she’s poor!? well… you don’t have to scream at me… she got in by winning a scholarship, geez… does that answer your question?). One day she was looking for a quite place to study and out of the many library’s that the school has, none of them are quite, so she found the music room and thinking it would be a quite place but when she walked in she was greeted by the members of the Host Club and they quickly mistake her as a he. After some talking going on, she bumps into and breaks a 8 million yen (roughly about $7,000 using Friday, April 7th currency exchange rates). Now she has to work as there dog by doing whatever they tell her to do to work off the debt, but after they remove her classes, they saw how cute she was and goes and put her in a male’s uniform (actually, she threw them out before they could even start undressing her, that’s why they still haven’t figured her out yet) and saw that she was even cuter with the uniform and no classes and made her an official member of the Host Club. They also tells her that she has to get 100 guest in order for her debt to be swipe clean. A lot of girls are around her because of how cute she looks and they were talking, cut to a screen where her bag and stuff are missing and she was looking for it and when she looks out the window she saw her stuff in the fountain. You then see her going through the fountain trying to get her stuff when one of the members shows up, ask what she was doing and he jumps in to help her find the last thing she was looking for, once found they talk for a bit. Cut back to the Host Club where you see Haruhi talking to another female, and Haruhi finds out that this one girl was jealous and knocks Haruhi down and pretended that Haruhi was the one who knocked her down but the other member didn’t bite and throws that girl out. They then handed Haruhi another uniform to put on and while she was putting it on, the members opens the curtain where she was getting dressed behind to find out that Haruhi was a girl.
Overall… I’m still pretty confused if I should continue watching it or not…. lets just wait and see….
